Haku is a mascot for those who could not produce a beautiful or proper sound from Miku. Her family name means "speaking small words" and she is always drunk due to her inability to sing in the same quality like Miku.
As such, she is usually depicted as always crying and drunk. However, in recent trends, Haku has evolved from a broken Miku into a mature-sounding Miku.
Haku has had many hardships in her life thus far. Her first relationship with Taito ended badly, leaving her fearing the next person she fell in love with. She's also been struggling with her current alcohol addiction and usually breaks her promises in trying to quit the drink. However, her life is slowly mending with her new boyfriend Retsu Kazemine, who is setting Haku on the right path to follow.

Every year around Halloween, the Voyakiloid got festive for the season with an array of costumes. Haku never wore the same costume twice, always switching to a fresh new one every year and each a different design that suited her mood. One year she was a bunny girl and the last year a sexy magician to host their murder mystery theater. Even with the few PVs she had produced, the Voyakiloid had almost as many costumes in her wardrobe as Miku Hatsune had clothes. There was an abundance to choose from that at times the woman was at a total loss to pick the perfect costume for that year.

"...There. That ought to do it!" Haku rubbed her forehead which was spattered in black ink of the pen she was using to compose her few letters with. Three perfect white cards laid on the table with her neat handwriting intact, each bearing a name; Retsu, Sen and Uta.
